Horsemanship Day Camps 2026
Drop Off Time: 9am Pick Up Time 3pm
The PLHDR Horsemanship Day Camps are a fun, confidence building, & safe way to introduce young riders to the art of horsemanship.
**Beginner Camps are suitable for campers who have never been around horses. They will learn in a teamwork atmosphere to care for their camp horse.
Cost of Camp $310 + GST $15.50 = $325.50
Beginner Camp July 6, 7, 8, 9, 2026 20 spots available
Beginner Camp August 10, 11, 12, 13, 2026 20 spots available
*** Level Two Camps suitable for campers who have been around horses in private lessons or have been in the beginner camp and have graduated to this level. This camp is for campers who want to learn more and can care for their camp horse themselves learning a bit of independence.
Cost of Camp $350 + GST $17.50 = $367.50
Level Two Camp Ages 7-17 July 13, 14, 15, 16, 2026 10 spots available
*** Level Three Camp is new for 2026. This camp is suitable for campers who have been around horse in private lessons, or have been in Level 2 camp for a minimum of 2 years and want the opportunity to ride multiple horses at camp. Each day will be a different horse. These campers must be prepared to be mostly independent with guidance from the coach. A great way to sharpen your horsemanship skills.
Cost of Camp $375 + GST $18.75 = $393.75
Level Three Camp Ages 11-17 August 17, 18, 19, 20, 2026 10 spots available
Along with learning about handling and communicating with a horse. Campers will also do crafts, games, and horse theory. These are great camps for kids who wish to own their own horse, or who maybe do but want to learn more while having fun with friends
Campers Must Supply:
* All riders are required to wear a helmet designed for equine activities which is equipped with a safety chin strap (Bike Helmets are no longer allowed due to our insurance policy. PLHDR has a limited supply of helmets.)
* Covered Footwear with a heel. No running shoes for riding time.
* Bag lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, mosquito spray.
* Please provide a list of meds if needed
